When it comes to employee engagement, maintaining compliance and improving completion rates, it’s important to prompt users on their required actions across the Talent Experience Platform.
Totara 16 includes an improved notifications system that allows users to provide more flexible, automated notifications to courses, course activities and seminars. This functionality builds on the improved notification system released in Totara 14 for programs and certifications.
Totara 16 also includes further enhancements to both Totara Engage and Totara Perform, including workspace audience synchronisation and improvements to performance activities are managed.

The new and improved Help site available at totara.help includes improved search capabilities to help you find what you’re looking for quickly and easily. As part of restructuring the Help content, Totara have created three new article types based on feedback on the older Help documentation:
How-to: Short articles which cover how to complete an individual task in Totara (such as how to Add an achievement path to a competency, or Create an organisation).
Explainer: Articles which explain a concept in the system and how it relates to other areas (such as What are site policies? or What is the main menu?)
Reference guide: A more exhaustive explanation of all the settings in a particular area of the site (such as Configure features or Role settings)
